Workshops Proposals

Workshops provide an open forum for short presentations, discussions, or collaborative work on a specific topic. The organization of contributions to a workshop from invitation to selection is up to the organizers of a workshop. A written contribution for the conference proceedings is possible, but not a requirement for implementation. Please consider supplemental information for publication below.

Workshop Submission

Proposals for workshops will not be anonymized. Proposals include two parts:

  • Description of the workshop:
    • Explanation of the topic and content of the workshop, the objectives and planned implementation, and the target audience.
    • Information about the organizing team (research area, previous experience in the topic area, etc.)
    • maximum 2 pages excl. biographical information and references
  • Workshop information sheet:
    • Provide organizational information (scheduled deadlines, room requirements, materials needed, …).
    • For planning purposes only, will not be published
  • Format Template
    • Overleaf & LaTeX, and use \documentclass[manuscript,review]{acmart}.
    • Word (as a two-column document)
  • Submission
    • Maximum 2 pages, if intended for publication 4 pages excl. biographical information and references.
    • Information sheet¬†for planning (will not be published)

After acceptance: The contributions of the accepted workshops can be published within the proceedings as a workshop volume. In this context, the submission has to be managed via a separate track in ConfTool, as this simplifies the subsequent organization. For publication, the 2 page-submission should be extended to 4 pages and should include the following context:

  • Cover text about the workshop content:
    • Explanation of the topic and content of the workshop, the objectives and planned implementation, and the target audience.
    • Short descriptions of the accepted submissions of the workshop
  • Information about the organizing team (research area, previous experience in the topic area, etc.)
